ABOUT THE ARCHIVE

The Robert Arneson Archive was established in 1992 to preserve and disseminate information about the life and work of Robert Arneson. The Archive holds the most complete records of Arneson’s studio practice, including logs detailing his process and materials, as well as an extensive inventory of images of his work. Its holdings also encompass Arneson’s childhood drawings and comics, papers related to his professional career, personal correspondence and ephemera. Following years of digitization and organization, the Archive now aims to position itself as a vital resource for scholars, curators and researchers looking to gain insight into Arneson’s oeuvre and his ongoing impact as an artist and educator.
